Our Story

Hi I’m John and I’m the owner & manager of Chimsweep & The Woodburner Company.

We started our story back in 2009 when I discovered that fitting stoves was actually a recognised trade albeit a niche one, I had been looking for a change in career for nearly 2 years and I instantly new this was something I would like to pursue. I set about learning everything I could, and trained on Hetas courses alongside some funded training in Biomass (thats similar but involves burning wood pellets or woodchips). I specialised in domestic Wood and Multifuel Stove installations.

We have been chimney sweeping since day one but recently we decided to formalise our knowledge gained from experience by training with Rodtech uk on their City and Guilds accredited chimney sweeping course.

We have fitted over 600 different stoves for the public and due to our customers asking us to come back and help look after their stoves long term

we invested in the best power-sweeping equiptment from british (queens award for industry winning) firm Rodtech, we also spent over £700.00 on a top of the range Dustcontrol Hoover helping keep our clients houses and lungs dust free whilst we work.

Its been an honour learning to run & develop a small business , we've strived to maintain an ethos of honesty and fairness within the company with our clients and staff. I couldn't have done it without the support of my amazing wife Sally and 2 wonderful children children Noah and Evie-Rose .

If you would like to visit us we can be found at

The Woodburner Company Shop , Unit 5 Hoar Park Craft Village and Childrens Farm where you will also find a cafe, childrens farm and other independent shops and activities, all set in beautiful North Warwickshire countryside.
